When querying agents, they ask for your website and social media presence. They want proof you can build an audience. The question is: how do you show people will read your words before you have a published book to sell?

I realized I'd been answering that question for over a year without knowing it. I've written hundreds of microfiction stories on Bluesky, a daily creative writing exercise that's honed my craft and built a following. Now I'm bringing those stories to TikTok and Instagram as short videos. Turns out, I've been selling my words all along.
